Financials & Pastel Export

Financials in Dr Smash

This module allows you to compile your entire General Ledger and will convert it into an Income statement, Balance sheet, Cash Flow statement etc. Gives you access to Cash Books, Petty Cash, Journals, and even has procedures in place to import into Pastel if required.

Pastel Export in Dr Smash

Dr Smash exports to all local Pastel programs, such as pastel express or partner. We do not export to the Online Pastel Sage. Dr Smash exports to csv all the transactions for your Debtors, Creditors and Cash book to allow for import directly into your system. This is done through the journal entry section of pastel and is done by simply clicking on import batch in the respective windows for each import. These include:

Operations generally done / captured by Client

  • Debtors Invoices – Journal entry
  • Debtors Receipting – Journal Entry
  • Debtors Debit/Credit Notes – Journal Entry
  • Creditors
  • Purchases – Journal Entry
  • RFC’s – Journal Entry
  • Debit/Credit – Journal Entries

Operations generally done/captured by Bookkeeper / Accountant but can be given to Client to capture

  • Cashbook through Dr Smash – Journal Entry Will Allocate to respective general ledger items in both packages
  • Includes Creditor Payment – Journal Entry

Any Vat adjustments required for all above entries for balancing is automatically exported as well alongside the transaction requiring adjustment. All Reference show relevant info to find the original in Dr Smash. All exports will pull through to your Vat Report in Pastel as required and can be double checked against the Vat Report in Dr Smash.
